The Manila layover, minute by minute — both directions.
All four Cebu Pacific flights use NAIA Terminal 3, so you never change terminals. The two directions work completely differently — the order of immigration flips.
The order that trips people up: on the OUTBOUND you land on a domestic flight, so there is no arrival immigration — departure immigration comes near the end, after check-in and security. On the RETURN you land international, so immigration is the very firststep, before you ever touch your baggage.
5J 2508 Cebu → 5J 312 Manila–Taipei · land 2:35 AM → depart 6:35 AM · ~4 hrs · domestic → international
0At Cebu check-in — ask the one question
“Bags checked through to Taipei, or do I collect them in Manila?” Get BOTH boarding passes if they’ll issue them.
1Land NAIA T3 — domestic arrivals
No immigration here. You’re arriving on a domestic flight, already inside the country.
2Baggage — through-checked (single booking)
Your DFYLGF is one PNR, so bags are tagged through to Taipei — skip the carousel, walk to the international zone. Confirm the through-tag at Cebu check-in; only re-claim + re-check if they didn’t tag it through.
3International check-in / bag-drop (5J 312)
Counters open ~3 AM. Drop the bag, get your Taipei boarding pass.
4Security screening
International departures security.
5PH departure immigration + any BI interviewImmigration
This is your immigration step. Passport, eTravel DEPARTURE QR, boarding pass, printed Paper Pack. Short, consistent answers.
6Airside — gate (A Lounge opens 5 AM)
Immigration cleared. A Lounge doesn’t open until 05:00, so gate seats till then, then ~45 min for a shower before boarding.
75J 312 departs → land Taipei 9:00 AM
Don’t doze through the ~3 AM check-in window if your bags aren’t through-checked.
🛋️ Lounge window (outbound only)
5J 313 Taipei–Manila → 5J 571 Manila–Cebu · land 1:05 PM → depart 4:15 PM · 3h10m · international → domestic
1Land NAIA T3 — international arrivals
Follow the Arrival / Immigration signs.
2Quarantine / health desk — eTravel ARRIVAL QR
A SECOND registration, done in Taipei within 72h of this flight (~Jul 28–31). Separate from the outbound QR.
3Arrival immigrationImmigration
Returning-citizen lane. Quick stamp, no interview coming home.
4Baggage claim — your 20 kg bag
NOT through-checked into the Philippines. You must collect it in hand.
5Customs — green channel
Camera and drone kit reads as personal use. Declare cash only if over US$10,000 / NT$100,000.
6Cebu Pacific domestic check-in / Transfer Desk
Re-check the bag for 5J 571, get your domestic boarding pass.
7Domestic security → gate → 5J 571 departs
Move straight through — a long arrival-hall queue is the only thing that threatens the 3h10m window.
🛋️ Lounge on the return?
Verify near the date: NAIA opens Terminal 4 in mid-2026 and some Cebu Pacific domestic flights may shift there — confirm each flight's terminal on the Cebu Pacific app 3–5 days before. Your international legs stay at T3.
